STEPHANIE DUFFY

Stephanie is a Speech Pathologist specialising in voice and former professional performer, with a passion for supporting occupational voice users to maintain healthy, sustainable vocal function. She graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2023 with a Master of Speech Pathology and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).

Prior to speech pathology, Stephanie enjoyed a successful career in musical theatre, performing in leading and understudy roles in productions including Wicked, Cats, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and The Wiggles. Her background as a performer underpins her practical understanding of the physical and vocal demands placed on professional voice users, shaping her engaging and highly relevant approach to voice education.

Since becoming a speech pathologist, Stephanie has specialised in voice and upper airway disorders, currently working at Voice Swallow Medicine in St Leonards where she provides therapy for voice disorders, pre-and post-operative care, chronic cough and upper airway conditions. She has previously worked in the gender-affirming voice space as well as the aged care sector for swallowing disorders.

Stephanie brings additional expertise in adult rehabilitation and neurodegenerative conditions and is a certified provider of SPEAK OUT!® for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, having delivered intensive therapy programs across Sydney.

Through her workshops, Stephanie translates her clinical expertise into accessible, evidence-based voice care for educators, corporate teams, and other voice-dependent professionals. Her sessions focus on sharing vocal health education, building vocal awareness, preventing injury, and optimising performance, equipping participants with practical strategies they can confidently apply in their everyday work.

Stephanie is committed to delivering high-quality, preventative voice care in a way that is engaging, empowering, and grounded in real-world experience.
